A portrait of Winston Churchill. This piece has been created with the scratchboard technique. Armed with a fine instrument, the artist scratches through a layer of black Indian ink that is placed above a layer of gesso. This high precision work does not allow any mistakes. In the late 80s, prior to leaving for an 8-month trip to Europe, the artist displayed this piece in the Bowman Gallery, owned by Roger and Loretta Bowman, in Georgetown, Co. Unfortunately upon her return she learned that the gallery shut down and the owners were untraceable. The artwork was never recovered.
